My entire life I have had people struggle with pronouncing my name. As an adult, since working in a professional setting, I have had a challenge with people respecting the fact that my name is indeed what it is. They prefer to call me by a nickname. I now let people know that I in fact DO NOT have a nickname, so they are forced to SAY MY NAME!
